DefCovD

DefTensor[covd[-a], {post-string, pre-string}] defines covd to be a covariant derivative on the manifold associated to index a and having output in StandardForm as given by the strings post-string in Postfix notation and pre-string in Prefix notation.

• Currently covd must be a valid Mathematica symbol, not in use in the present session with any other meaning.
• Options:
Torsion            False                whether the connection has torsion
Curvature            True                whether the connection has curvature
FromMetric            Null                metric from which the connection derives
CurvatureRelations    True                whether contracted Riemman is replaced
OrthogonalTo        {}
ProjectedWith        {}
• Def-Options:
Info                {"covd", ""}        information on the symbol
Master            None                master of new symbol
PrintAs            Identity            string or function of symbol for output
ProtectNewSymbol    $ProtectNewSymbols    whether to protect new symbol or not
